From listening to this jingle I can tell that the target audience is for teens as it is full of upbeat sounds and the music is very loud, fast and wild.
The beats and random sound effects stand out and vibrate from your ears to your whole body.




From listening to this jingle I can tell that the target audience is an older audience as the music is quite slow and 'smooth'.
The relaxing tune and calming voice soothes you.





Similarities:
- they both have early morning, morning, afternoon, evening and late.
- they both have the latest news at 12:00pm.

Differences:
- Radio 1 starts at 6:33 and Radio 4 starts at 6:00

Target audiences:
- BBC radio 1 - target audience is 15-29 year olds.
- BBC radio 4 - target audience is 56 year olds and skews towards an older audience.

The Presenter:
- BBC radio 1 - "Radio 1's Breakfast Show" is presented by Nick Grimshaw. Nick Grimshaw's mode of address makes the audience feel as if they are part of that group of friends, talking about where they went last night or who they saw. 
 - Annie Mac host the weekend breakfast and Sunday evening. 

- BBC radio 4 - same presenters every week days and same presenters every week ends.


Their Jingle:
- BBC radio 1 - A montage of popular songs as well as upbeat, fast and loud sounds.
- BBC radio 4 - Talks about the news and up-coming events on their station.


        BBC Radio 4: 

     BBC Radio 4 has the most diverse schedule of all the BBC radio stations. It is a ‘talk only’ radio station (no music is played). It includes radio plays, debates, comedy programmes, panel shows (about food, gardening etc), news programmes, book readings and many other types too!

        BBC Radio 1:

        BBC Radio 1 is a British radio station operated by the British Broadcasting Corporation which also broadcasts internationally, specialising in modern and current popular music and chart hits throughout the day. They interview celebs and focus on community of teenagers.
