FRONT COVER ANALYSIS

The layout on the MOJO magazine is very ordered and organised with the cover lines mostly aligned and the main cover line in the middle along with the main image, however the layout on WE HEART POP is all over the place with the main cover line diagonal on top of the main image and all the coverlines placed anywhere.

The masthead on MOJO is central so its viewed as the most important thing on that page, however WE HEART POP has a big bold masthead which is cramped into the top left hand corner amongst many other things on the cover.

The colour scheme on MOJO is only white and yellow to keep it plain and not busy ontp of the rainbow background, whereas WE HEART POP has a  colour scheme is red, pink, yellow, blue, red, white and black to attract a younger target audience who wants to enjoy it and have fun.

 The language on MOJO is more sophisticated to attract their target audience of rock fans, while WE HEART POP uses slang such as "snogsies" to appeal to their target audience as this is the language they commonly use and will understand and can relate to.

The typography on MOJO is only two fonts to keep its order and allow the background and main cover line to stand out, on the other hand on WE HEART POP's there are many different fonts and colours going on, connoting youth.

MOJO usually uses only white males on their front cover as rock musicians are stereotypically male,  whereas WE HEART POP's front cover addresses stereotypical female teenagers as loving pink and being innocent and concerned with relationships, fashion and gossip.
